This is my first contribution to Thursday Doors – thank you for bringing this up, Norm!
Hi doorlovers from around the world,
May I introduce you to a typical thatched-roof house in Föhr, the North Frisian island in the North Sea? The door is an extra bonus, of course. For a close look at the door and the sailing boat above, just zoom it.
Meanwhile, in another country across the sea (not the Big Pond, though, still in Europe, but maybe not much longer), I was roaming the streets of Falmouth, Cornwall, on an empty stomach. Hopefully I approached the pizza parlour only to find the door shut. I felt sorry for the owner, not knowing if this was a permanent failure or just the lack of flour.
Not far away an unexpected sight in a toy shop made my day – a model of a Messerschmitt bubble car in exactly the same colour ours used to have! Needless to say, that was a long, long time ago. Are you familiar with the door? Can you see it right there in the middle?
