Territorial Terror or Just an Error?

Today a Tory named Terri

Didn’t feel terribly merry.

She had voted no

Some time ago

And is now leaving for Kerry… 😦

So as from today it’s them and us again – as if there were no common ground. How is this possible?

Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Hausmusik

Garden quartet. Or should I write duo instead? Karoline and Elise are only watching after all. And there’s another looker-on in the background.

From left to right: Emma, Grete, Karoline, and Elise.

One of the very few very old photos from our family album. It was taken about ninety years ago, so I’m afraid I wasn’t able to do it myself. Sorry! 😦 It’s against the rules, I suppose? But I assure you I uploaded it all by myself. 🙂

The Netherlands Second…

No, it’s not in Dutch. It’s a spoof on Mr T.’s style – in American English, what else? – and sounds like the president himself. I thought of deleting this, as nobody commented here. But I just saw that another blogger also posted it and had several comments. Of course I don’t mean to annoy any supporters, I just love satire.

SOCS – Moin, moin!

When I hear the word coin, my first thought is, „It rhymes with moin.“ It’s a Northern German greeting meaning hello (or hi to some 🙂 ), often used doubly as in the subject line. As usual, Wikipedia has a lot to tell about moin, even in English.

My second thought is a recent blogpost about a coin from Judy’s lifelessons, So Strange, So Strange!

Which reminds me I have two, no, three friends who suffer severely from decidophobia, a term coined in 1973, although it must have existed from the very beginning. I can imagine Adam and Eve wondering whether or not they should pick the forbidden fruit.

Anyway, my indecisive friends are never able to make up their minds, and at the end I always tell them to toss a coin. More often than not that’s not a good solution, because they’d fare much better with a 5-sided coin each… Let’s call it pentacoin!

This is my entry for this week’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday hosted by Linda G. Hill. Until today I only associated this term with Virginia Woolf. However, one lives and learns and streams…

Thank you for visiting! And thanks to Linda.

Sunday Trees 254 – Palmaille mit Lindenallee

Lindenallee in der PalmaillePalmaille, one of the oldest streets in Altona, formerly belonging to the Kingdom of Denmark, now part of Hamburg. I admire the linden trees for bearing with the heavy traffic these days. How I wish cars would be banished from the city!

Thursday Doors – Charging at an Open Door

Die sprichwörtliche Bruchbude

So this is what happens after someone’s actually done it. Done what? I give you three guesses.
