Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge – Let it be, let it be!

No, I’m not a photographer, but I like taking pictures and using them for walking down memory lane on my computer screen in the long, dark winter hours. So sometimes I jump in, when a photo challenge tickles my fancy.

While admiring other bloggers‘ images, nothing pleases me more than a little backstory or failing that, a geographical location which often helps to identify exotic plants and animals. The world (of words in particular) is my oyster – thank you all for making it grow really large! Special thanks to Cee Neuner.

This picture was taken, when Brexit wasn’t even a twinkle in Nigel’s eye (or so I think, but I might be mistaken. Perhaps he was already born with it). At the time it took my fancy as an unusal weather vane, but now it has become a symbol for the wind of change blowing in a land longing for glory – h/t Elgar. So as Britain or a part of it decided to not just remain great, but to become great again let it be! Needless to say, I only write this, because it’s a fait accompli now. Still, I remember how grateful we all were when Britain joined at long last, because it made life so much easier for my family and many more on both sides of the Channel.

So which course will the golden sailing boat take?

London weather vane: golden sailing boat

East is East and West is West, but sometimes the twain should meet!
