Thursday Doors – Türen am Donnerstag

This is this week’s contribution to Norm Frampton’s photo challenge Thursday Doors.

Ägyptisches Haus

Unfortunately Chapel Street was (and probably still is) too narrow for me to capture the whole house, very much to the displeasure of the eagle on top.

So I decided to shoot an extra photo of the upper part of the building. For who would admire just half a pyramid?

Egyptian House, upper part

For those who want to know more about the history I recommend visiting  https://www.landmarktrust.org.uk/Search-and-book/landmark-groups/egyptian-house1/ or resort to Google’s street view of Chapel Street.

  2. The door is handsome especially with the columns, but the windows are amazing. Good find. 🙂

  5. Wow! That’s both impressive and very different. I have to say that the windows are what caught my attention, though, at least at first.

  6. How unique! And I find it interesting the way the doors are so recessed like that – interesting – and the up- view was nice 😌
